When I talk about food that triggers acne, a lot of my patients ask me: But what can I eat now? There is nothing left!
A high carb diet or a diet rich in animal protein are both bad choices when it comes to acne. So what is the solution?
In this video I talk about healthy protein choices for an anti-inflammatory diet that helps you fight against acne.
They are rich in protein and deliver important minerals and fiber. Fiber is essential for our gut health and hormonal balance.
Oats are a carb, but are rich in protein as well. They also comes with minerals and fiber and help stabilize blood sugar levels.
Surprisingly a vegetable has made it on this list! Compared to other vegetables, Brokkoli contains more protein and is a superfood for skin health, because of its anti-inflammatory properties.
- Chicken breast
Skinless chicken breast is a lean source of animal protein. This makes it healthier than other meat. Organic quality is important.
- Wild caught salmon
Salmon is rich in anti-inflammatory omega 3, which makes it an excellent choice. Quality is key here!
- With these options it should be easy to create a mealplan that tastes good and keeps you satisfied.
